Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are relevant to non-commercial projects only, and are subject to revision, without notice. The commissioner must read, understand and agree to all the below terms before entering into an agreement with the artist (akitsu-47.tumblr.com).

By sending payment, the Commissioner agrees to the following terms.

• I (the artist) retain the right to refuse any commission request.
• I reserve the right to refund and cancel a commission due to poor communication, rude/inappropriate behaviour or inability to communicate in English, Italian, Slovenian or Croatian language.
• I will not reproduce a copyrighted image or character without the consent of its creator.
  Consents acquired; Homestuck.
• I retain all rights to the commissioned work, including the rights of distribution.
• I retain the rights to display all commissioned artwork on any personal site, gallery or journal.
• I will draw custom characters, human!stuck, fantrolls, custom clothes designs, tentabulges, regular bulges and any gender/gender interactions.
• I will not draw extreme gore, extreme furry, MPREG, extreme violence and anything else that may cause me discomfort, possibly including some ships (sorry!). Please contact me for information.
• You (the commissioner) may not re-distribute, reproduce or sell a commission, or profit from the artwork.
• You may not exhibit your commission in any online/offline gallery without asking me first.
• You should (and will be asked) to specify the size of the commissioned image. Restrictions may apply due to the hardware/software I use. Images over 2000x2000px/300dpi may cost more, while images under 500x500px/300dpi less.
• You have all the right to crop, resize, create icons, wallpapers, layouts or other graphics to be used in non-commercial digital format; but not alter the artwork itself.
• Your rights can be negotiated for an added fee, decided on a case-by-case basis. 

Required Client Information

• E-mail address: Official commission requests must be asked by email. Feel free to inquire first or ask anything you feel unsure of, tho!
• Age: You must be 18 or over to commission me, for the simple fact that it makes you legally responsible for the request you’re making and to be able to issue payment. There may be exceptions accepted, feel free to contact me!
• You should make your commissions inquiries as specific as possible; clear and concise visual references and/or description - anything not specified is by default left to my personal interpretation.

Payment method

• All prices are expressed in U.S. dollars, and payments are expected to be made as such.
• Displayed base prices are subject to change according to the complexity, difficulty, size, and medium of each individual piece, but will always be estimated up front!
• Payment is due after the basic sketch phase (for now) because of communication/understanding. This is where you may still cancel the commission. Any stage after that there will be no refunds.
• I prefer commission payments be made utilizing PayPal services.
• Additional donations are appreciated, but not expected.

• perspective/less simple: 16$ [sample]

• b&w, no complex backgrounds, no custom characters, you supply the full script: 16$ first pannel (bigger), others 12$ (up to 10 total)
• custom characters: +3$ x appearance
• you give the (simple) idea, I supply the script: 16$+ - negotiable!

I am able to do more detailed work, though I have only listed the options I know I will have time to do. Should you have anything beyond that in mind, or are unsure about anything - feel free to contact me via ask, fanmail or e-mail.

Some prices may be negotiable. However; I’m not doing this because I’m after your money; I am currently not employed full time and busy writing my thesis, so my incomes are rather low. Whatever I make off commissions is going into my ‘moving’ fund - and finances help in general. I do not expect donations of any kind, though I believe kindness should be repaid - so should you want to donate 10$ or more, I’ll see to draw you a little sketch as thanks.

Also, so long as time allows, I will always try to polish your commission as best as I can or raising it’s level without additional cost, if you allow me to. :)

Commission slots

There will always be a limited amount of commission slots, according to the time I am able to spare. They will not be chosen by the ‘first come first serve’ method, but by efficiency and time at hand each week. I will always explain my reasons if unable to fit a commission in my schedule and I will try to take on as much as I can, obviously. I have no intention or reason to cause anyone discomfort or frustration, and I think it’s okay if I expect the same from others. So please, upon commissioning, be ready to enter a negotiation that might require more than one exchanging of emails, patience and communication to make both parties feel good about it. It’s supposed to be a positive and happy exchange of favors!
